How to decrease HIGH laptop temperatures?

My laptop is less than two years old. It's an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC running Windows 7. I've recently noticed, after installing Speedfan, that it runs at very high temperatures. The three things speedfan lists are: HD0, Temp 1, and Core. Immediately after startup, it's already running close to 60 degrees Celsius in all three of these temperatures. If I play a game (Dragon Age 2, specifically, on the absolute LOWEST possible graphics settings), it runs around 90-100. The fans are running fine, and there is no dust clogging anywhere. Why are the temperatures so high, and what can I do to decrease them?|||A cooling pad is the simplest bet. But if you're sure your fans are clean (might not hurt to check inside) then you could apply a high grade Thermal Compound, but that involves laptop surgery.

A free option is just elevating it with bottle lids or erasers or something so it gets better air flow.|||I would recommend a cooling pad, which is a pad that has 1 or more fans installed in it. When the laptop is placed on the pad, the fans cool the laptop
