Can my laptop run Skyrim on high settings?

I have a HP DV7T quad edition laptop with a intel i7- 2630 quad core which runs at 2 GHZ with a turbo speed of 2.9 and is windows 7 64 bit. It has a HD 6770M Radeon graphics card which is 1GB(i think). Could I run skyrim on good settings or should i just get it for Xbox? Also I play on a 24in screen so my 42in Tv and Computer screen are pretty evenly matched so that doesn't change my preference. I can run dragon age and other games (like oblivion) on high settings.|||Nonsense, I play skyrim on high at 1366x768 with 30 fps outside, 50 fps in dungeons.

i got only i5-460m (2.53ghz, turbo up to 2.83 with "hyperthread"), 4gb ram and ati 5650m..|||Igor, on what settings did you run your copy of Skyrim?

|||Actually, same with Sidd. What settings? I run the same exact rig as Sid, and I'm having difficulties.

|||You have a nice processor but as the 6770M is somewhat lacking for games, you should be able to play the game on low settings with a smooth framerate (higher than console FPS). You will also need to take into account the resolution you will be playing on. It will look roughly equivalent to console graphics, perhaps a little better. This is just is my opinion, but also try 'Can You RUN It?' (link below).
